Afinum invests in sequrio GmbH, an integrated GRC and cybersecurity services platform

Afinum X invests in sequrio GmbH ("sequrio"), an integrated GRC and cybersecurity services platform. Together with Lilian Halex and Alexander Greis as Managing Directors, Afinum will support sequrio with its buy-and-build strategy and in accelerating overall growth trajectory. This investment reflects Afinum's conviction in technology-led consolidation within highly regulated, expertise-driven service markets, and marks the third platform investment of the recently launched Afinum X fund.

Afinum invests in p36 GmbH

Afinum backs p36 GmbH (“p36”), a leading Software-as-a-Service provider of Compliance solutions for the global Life Science industries. Afinum 9 has entered into a growth partnership with the re-investing founders, Robin Wennemuth and Patrick Pfau. This transaction extends our running strategy to build a SAP-focused vertical software group for the Life Science industry, which was ignited with the investment in mymediset GmbH.

Afinum invests in DPS Engineering GmbH (“DPS Engineering”), a leading service, applications and software specialist for financial institutions.

Afinum has invested in DPS Engineering, marking the first platform investment of the newly launched Afinum X fund. The selling shareholders will remain operationally and financially committed to the company. The partnership reinforces Afinum’s strategy of backing founder-led businesses with a clear technology focus and a tangible growth agenda.

Afinum invests in Ergon Informatik AG (“Ergon”), a leading Swiss provider of software solutions and services with a cybersecurity software suite under the Airlock brand.

Afinum X has entered into a partnership with management and re-investing shareholders to jointly invest in Ergon Informatik AG (“Ergon”). This transaction reinforces Afinum’s strategy of investing in succession situations and accelerating technology-driven businesses and marks the second platform investment of the recently launched Afinum X fund. As part of the transaction, Afinum X acquires a significant majority stake while management and numerous selling shareholders re-invest into the newly formed entity.

Afinum sells its shareholding in Kappa optronics GmbH (“Kappa”), a European defense optronics leader specialized in rugged, high-performance vision systems.

Afinum Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. geschlossene Investment KG i.L. (“Afinum 7”) entered into an agreement to sell Kappa to Theon international Plc (“Theon”). Theon, based in Greece, is a leading developer and manufacturer of customizable night vision, thermal imaging systems and Electro-Optical ISR systems for military and security applications in Europe with a global footprint.

AFINUM Achte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. geschlossene Investment KG (“Afinum 8”) has entered into an agreement to sell Threema Holding AG (“Threema”) to Comitis Capital (“Comitis”). Threema is a leading provider of highly secure digital communication solutions for enterprises and public institutions with the highest requirements for data protection, security and regulatory compliance.
