Garz & Fricke GmbH („Garz & Fricke“), a portfolio company of Afinum Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, advised by Afinum Management GmbH, Munich, has acquired 100% of shares in e-GITS GmbH, based in Stuttgart.

E-GITS (https://e-gits.com/) develops cross-platform-applications such as graphical user interfaces (GUI) for embedded IoT-components in end markets including medical
technology, industrial automation, home automation and smart vending (connected vending machines). The company employs ca. 20 software developers across its locations in Stuttgart and Chennai, India, and is already closely working together on projects with Garz & Fricke.

E-GITS founder Sven Liess stays committed to the combined business in a leadership role. Together, Mr Liess and the Garz & Fricke management team are further developing the company into the leading “one-stop-shop” in the field human machine interfaces (HMIs), vending machine technology and payment systems. Customers can now be served more closely from the company’s presences in Northern and Southern Germany as well as in Chennai. As a group, the company has a total of 150 employees.

With the acquisition of e-GITS, Garz & Fricke complements its product and service portfolio. As an integrated systems provider, the company is now able to cover the entire
value chain from panel PCs, HMIs including operating system, GUI, payment systems and cloud/IoT applications.

Garz & Fricke is the 9th and final platform investment of Afinum Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG. The investment was completed in 2017.
