COTTA Collection AG („COTTA“), a portfolio company of Afinum Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, advised by Afinum Management Gmbh, Munich, acquires all shares in Steinpol, which is headquartered in Rzepin, Poland.

Steinpol positioned itself as one of the leading manufacturers of sofas and tv chairs in Europe. The company operates nine locations featuring 170,000 sqm of production area in Eastern Europe, employs more than 3,000 personnel and utilizes innovative and modern manufacturing equipment to make products customized to individual customer requirements, marketed under the four recognized brands Sit & More, Polsteria, Poco and International.

The acquisition intends to establish COTTA Group as the leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture in Europe. The transaction significantly expands COTTA’s production
capacity as well as -capabilities, extends its product assortment and enriches its customer portfolio. The added size of the business provides for ample opportunity to optimize sales, manufacturing- and logistics processes as well as the combined cost base. Steinpol will continue to operate as an independent company, run by previous management.
