Afinum Management GmbH appoints Dr. Philipp Schülin and Anton Bergmann as additional Managing Directors alongside the two current Managing Directors and founders Dr. Thomas Bühler and Dr. Gernot Eisinger.

Dr. Philipp Schülin has been part of the Afinum team since 2003, Senior Partner and Managing Director of Afinum Management AG in Zurich. In recent years, Dr. Philipp Schülin has been responsible for many transactions in Switzerland and Germany across several fund generations and has made an important contribution to the further development of Afinum. With his appointment as Managing Director of the parent company Afinum Management GmbH in Munich, we honor this contribution and integrate him even more strongly into the strategic management of the overall company.

As a certified tax advisor and certified auditor, Anton Bergmann has been working for Afinum since 2019. As CFO, he has already been responsible for the finance area and the increasingly important area of ESG & Compliance. His appointment as Managing Director of Afinum Management GmbH is intended to recognize his importance to Afinum today and in the future. Beyond his CFO duties, Anton Bergmann brings his experience and knowledge to the structuring of complex transactions at Afinum.

The two founders of Afinum Management GmbH have been the sole Managing Directors for the last 22 years. Today, Dr. Thomas Bühler and Dr. Gernot Eisinger are pleased to implement a first step in the succession process with this expansion of the management team. In the coming months, further tasks will gradually be handed over to a next generation of partners. As such it is intended that Kai Roolf and Burkhard von Wangenheim will join the management team by the end of the year.
