Afinum 9 invests in Objektkultur Software GmbH (“OK”), a full-scale enterprise digitalization partner and cloud solution builder, partnering with the current management team and the previous shareholders to support and drive the business’s next growth phase. This milestone signifies the eighth platform investment for Afinum fund 9 and reinforces our commitment to recognizing and championing outstanding technology leaders in the DACH region.
OK offers a comprehensive set of cloud applications, including CRM, ERP and custom software development, complemented by cloud security, analytics and AI. The company exhibits excellent organic growth potential and a distinct competitive edge, rigorously focused on more complex cloud platform and application building within the Microsoft ecosystem. The company is headquartered in Karlsruhe, with additional offices in Bonn and Freiburg, and has grown to a workforce of approximately 180 employees.
Over recent years, the company has grown strongly and extended its technological and geographical footprint. In light of further growth ambitions and succession plans, Jean Hamacher and Stefan Schwärzler, the previous owners, alongside the current Managing Directors, Marco Weigel and Marco Göpfrich, have actively sought a partner with a demonstrated track record and expertise in the IT services and software sector.
As part of the transaction, the two Managing Directors have made a significant investment into the company to become shareholders alongside Afinum. The former sole shareholders Jean Hamacher and Stefan Schwärzler retain a significant minority stake in the company and will support the business as chairman of the advisory board and consultant to the Managing Directors, respectively. Together with Afinum, OK’s management and the founding team are committed to capturing the further growth potential through organic and inorganic measures.
